Korea Maritime & Ocean University Conducts Major Policy Forum and Industry-University-Research Cooperation Reorganization Workshop

The ‘2023 KMOU Key Policy Forum and Industry-University-Research Cooperation Reorganization Workshop ‘ was held for university innovation based on sharing and cooperation .



A total of 100 people attended the forum, which was held at the Citadine Connect Hotel Hari in Yeongdo, Busan on the 8th , including President Do Do-Hee Do, leading professors in key positions and staff from related departments .



This forum was prepared to present a blueprint for future development through the sharing of achievements by each department and the presentation of future plans , and to create an efficient work foundation by expressing opinions among related departments .



The forum was divided into Part 1 and Part 2 .



In the first part, achievements and plans were presented by each department , and in the second part, special lectures were given by Seok-soo Kim, Vice President of External Affairs at Pusan ​​National University, Joon-Won Chae, Team Leader of the Busan Institute of Industrial Science and Innovation, and Director Kwang -Hae Won of the Busan Ji-Industry Collaboration Center .



At this meeting, participants sought a plan for university development through internal and external cooperation .



In particular, discussions were focused on the plans to nurture excellent talent in connection with the government’s education policy and educational issues arising from the decrease in the school-age population .



In addition, opinions were exchanged to continue sustainable growth through the establishment of an organic cooperation system with local governments .



The university plans to promote various projects with emphasis on university innovation and mid- to long-term development through coexistence with the region .
