Kyrgyz National University Hosts Meeting Between Senior Students and UrFU Representative
On April 3, 2024, students from the graduating courses of Kyrgyz National University in the fields of Social Work, Psychology, Journalism, International Relations, Economics, and Physics met with a representative from Ural Federal University.
Gulbara Sydykova, the Vice-Rector for Investments, and Kamchybek uulu Myrzabek, the Director of the Institute of Social and Humanitarian Sciences, addressed the meeting participants. They mentioned that the meeting would cover the educational opportunities offered by the UrFU Master’s degree program. Gulbara Sydykova, an UrFU graduate, expressed her hope that KNU graduates would pursue further education by enrolling in the Master’s program at UrFU.
Elena Pelymskaya, the Leading Manager of the Protocol Department at UrFU and curator of cooperation with the Kyrgyz Republic, presented information on the current stage and prospects of development of the Ural Federal University. She provided detailed information about all UrFU Master’s programs, including the number of state-funded slots and the advantages of each program. She also answered questions regarding admission.
Nursultan Akmatov, a graduate of UrFU and a specialist at the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic, shared his experience studying. He mentioned that over 100 students from Kyrgyzstan are studying at the university. There is a student community, and in Kyrgyzstan, there is a local branch of the Alumni Association of UPI, UrSU, and UrFU.
The participants had a chance to learn about the Master’s program at the largest university in Russia in detail. This helped them make an informed decision about their choice.
The VII International Exhibition of Eurasian Education is currently taking place in Kyrgyzstan. The exhibition is supported by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Science and Education of the Kyrgyz Republic, and Rossotrudnichestvo. 45 universities, including universities in Kazakhstan, are participating in the exhibition. The exhibition will be held in Bishkek, Tokmok, Balykchy, and Karakol.
