LETI: LETI is in the Top 15 IT Universities of Russia According to RAEX

LETI took 12th place in the university rankings in IT, prepared by the RAEX agency as part of the ranking ecosystem “Three University Missions.”

RAEX Agency (RAEX-Analytics) has published rankings of the best universities in Russia in 29 areas, including natural sciences and engineering, mathematics, social sciences and humanities, medicine, and pedagogy. The project was supported by the Russian Union of Rectors, and the project operator is the Association of Rankings Compilers.

St. Petersburg Electrotechnical University “LETI” took 12th place in the ranking in IT.

“LETI has always been known for high-quality training. This is confirmed by employers, who are happy to hire not only graduates but also bachelor’s students. The ranking only demonstrates this fact in numbers. But we have a lot to strive for. Together with our partners, we create new courses and programs and focus on project-oriented work. This cooperation allows us not only to maintain our positions but also to improve them.”

The Faculty of Computer Science and Technologies of LETI trains professionals for the IT-sphere. The most in-demand areas are “Applied Mathematics and Computer Science,” “Computer Science and Engineering. Artificial Intelligence”, “Software Engineering,” and “Computer Security.”

In 2021, 576 people graduated from the faculty. In March 2022, 44 specialists in computer security entered the labor market. Many of them started working in their area when they were students. The faculty has been cooperating with Luxoft, EPAM, JetBrains, Sigma LLC, Concern Okeanpribor JSC, Concern Elektropribor, and other organizations to organize internships for students and graduate employment.
