Nanjing University Hosts Working Meeting of Directors from Jiangsu Higher Education Logistics Association’s Student Food Management Professional Committee

On April 26, the working meeting of the directors of the Student Food Management Professional Committee of the Jiangsu Higher Education Logistics Association was held in our school. Zou Yajun, member of the Standing Committee of the School Party Committee and Vice President, attended the meeting and delivered a welcome speech. Huang Zaiyu, vice president and secretary-general of the Provincial University Logistics Association, Ren Zuping, deputy secretary-general in the association, and directors, deputy directors and secretaries of the logistics association from 15 universities across the province attended the meeting. Zhao Wenming, vice president of the Provincial University Logistics Association and director of the partnership committee, presided over the meeting.

On behalf of the school, Zou Yajun extended a warm welcome to the representatives attending the meeting, and expressed his heartfelt thanks to the Provincial University Logistics Association, the Association of Collegiate Associations and colleagues from brother universities who have long cared about and supported the development of the school. He briefly introduced the basic situation of our school and the logistics and food supply situation. He hopes that the fraternal universities will strengthen exchanges and communication, learn from each other’s advanced experience, innovate management models, deepen logistics reforms, and seek high-quality development together.

He emphasized that catering service is the core area of ​​university logistics services, with a heavy responsibility and a glorious mission. He pointed out that the Food Association should accurately judge and grasp the characteristics and practical requirements of the new era, boldly explore in practice, and continuously open up a new realm of innovative development of university catering with a broader vision.

The meeting reviewed the 2024 work plan of the Association, and reported the 2024 financial revenue and expenditure, financial budget, and personnel changes of the director and secretary-general. Representatives attending the meeting conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges on the preparation of the “General Specifications for Rapid Food Testing Laboratories in College Canteens” and the high-quality development of food management.
