Vocational guidance meetings
As a result of the victory in the qualifying stage of the Case-In engineering championship, representatives of the PetrSU team were invited to the Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University for rewarding.
Let us recall that the International Engineering Championship CASE-IN is an international system of competitions in solving engineering cases for schoolchildren, students and young specialists of the fuel and energy and mineral resource complexes. This time the topic of the case was “Digital transformation of the electrical network at the level of operational and technological management for sustainable development.”
At the awards ceremony, the team of PetrSU was represented by a 4th year student of the Department of Energy Supply for Enterprises and Energy Saving of the Physico-Technical Institute and team captain Sergei Pimenov and a 3rd year student of the Department of Energy Supply of Enterprises and Energy Saving of the Physico-Technical Institute Sergei Nosov.
It was very exciting to be present at the awards ceremony, as we were the only representatives of third-party universities. We are glad that we were able to give our best and show such a good result,
– the team captain Sergey Pimenov shared his impressions.
It is worth noting that PetrSU participates in the championship for the third time: in 2016, at the qualifying stage at the Mining University, two participants from PetrSU as part of the team of the Military Academy of Communications took 8th place out of 11 teams, and last year the team of PetrSU took 6th place at the stage at the Polytechnic. of 13 teams. Thus, this year’s victory is a historic event,
– commented on the results of the championship Denis Evgenievich Petrushin, teacher of the Department of Energy Supply of Enterprises and Energy Saving of PetrSU, mentor of the team of PetrSU.
In addition, in parallel, there was a visit to JSC “STC UES Emergency Management”, where the students got acquainted with the laboratory where the hardware complex for testing and certification of relay protection and emergency automation systems is located, and also were able to discuss questions of interest with leading experts in the field of electric power.
