PetrSU students are the pride of the university

Kirill Fitisov is a student at the Institute of History, Political and Social Sciences of PetrSU.
Kirill, having graduated with honors from his bachelor’s degree in Social Work in 2019, entered the magistracy in Organization and Management in Social Work. Now he is preparing to defend his master’s work.

Kirill’s research topics are related to the development of the innovative potential of youth (on the example of the Republic of Karelia). He has scientific publications both independently and in co-authorship with a scientific advisor, including in English, took part in scientific events at the international, all-Russian and regional levels. He completed short-term internships at the University of Tubingen (Germany), Savonia University of Applied Sciences (Finland).

Kirill is a scholar of the V. Potanin Charitable Foundation, as well as the Oxford Russian Foundation, three times became the winner of the annual All-Russian conference of students and young scientists of PetrSU with international participation.

In 2018, he became a laureate of the All-Russian competition of scientific research works of young scientists and students “Patriotism and Friendship of Peoples: Origins, Content, Practices of Upbringing in Modern Conditions” (Branch of Moscow State University in Sevastopol).

In 2019, he played as part of a team from PetrSU at the All-Russian Student Olympiad in Social Work at the RSSU, where the team took third place in one of the competitions. Since 2015, he has been a curator of volunteers and a volunteer of the Council of Veterans of Petrozavodsk State University, takes part in organizing events for veterans, visits them every month.

Kirill actively participated in scientific and educational events organized by the Department of Sociology and Social Work, including with the participation of foreign partners, actively studies English, strives for self-development.
