Prof Ibne Ahmad appointed as Principal, Para-Medical College
Aligarh: Professor Ibne Ahmad, Department of Radio-diagnosis , Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has been appointed as the Principal, Para-Medical College, Faculty of Medicine, for a period of three years or till further orders, with immediate effect.
A life member of the Indian Radiology and Imaging Association (IRIA) and Indian Medical Association (IMA); he has published numerous papers in the national and international peer-reviewed journals such as the Indian Journal of Radiology and Imaging, European Journal of Radiology, Acta Gasteroenterologica Latino Americana Journal, Iranian Journal of Radiology, JBR, BTR, Oman Medical Journal and Nepalese Journal of Radiology.
Prof Ibne is actively involved in an Indo-US collaborative project titled, ‘Low Cost Enabling Technology for Image Guided Photodynamic Therapy of Oral Cancers’. Ultrasonography and Color Doppler studies are his thrust areas.
Prof Ibne teaches and trains MBBS, MD, DMRD (Radiodiagnosis and DMLT-Radiology) students and has supervised over 20 theses in the Department of Radio-diagnosis and more than 50 theses as co-guide of students from various departments of JNMC.
He joined JNMC as a lecturer in 1991 and has been serving as a Professor since 2006.
