Sixteenth Convocation of MNIT Jaipur

The Sixteenth Convocation of Malaviya National Institute of Technology, Jaipur, is going to be held on Wednesday 12th April 2023, from 2:00 PM onwards at the Open Air Theatre, MNIT Campus.
Shri Om Birla, Hon’ble Speaker of the 17th Lok Sabha will be the Chief Guest of the function and will deliver the Convocation address.
Dr. R.K. Tyagi, Chairman, Board of Governors, MNIT Jaipur, will declare the Convocation open and will sign the scroll of award of degrees. Prof. Narayana Prasad Padhy, Director, MNIT Jaipur, will deliver the welcome address and will present a report on the academic activities and achievements of the Institute.
Degrees for B.Tech, B.Arch, M.Tech, M.Planning, M.B.A., M.Sc and Ph.D. will be awarded to the students for the academic sessions 2021-22 in the Convocation.
For the year 2021-22, a total number of 673 Bachelor of Technology degrees, 54 Bachelor of Architecture degrees, 412 Master of Technology degrees and 24 Master of Planning degrees will be awarded. 94 students will be receiving M.Sc. degrees in Physics, Chemistry and Maths. 52 M.B.A. degrees will be awarded for the year 2021-22 in the Convocation. 143 research scholars will be receiving their PhD degrees in the Convocation. The Institute will confer 1452 degrees in total, 727 of which are Undergraduate degrees, 582 Master’s degrees, and 143 Doctoral degrees, the highest number of doctoral degrees awarded in any convocations held at the institute. Of all the degrees awarded, 381 will be awarded to female students. The female students outshined the male students, with 19 female students receiving gold medals, marking a significant achievement in women’s empowerment.
Toppers of B.Tech, B.Arch, M.Tech, M.Planning, M.B.A. and M.Sc courses for the academic session 2021-22 will be awarded gold medals in the Convocation. 8 U.G. students and 29 P.G. students of the academic year 2021-22 will receive gold medals for securing the first position in their respective academic programs.
Established in the year 1963 as Malaviya Regional Engineering College, the Institute has completed 59 years of service to the nation. The Institute has continuously moved on the path of progress, establishing new milestones on its way and is one of the premier educational institutes in the country today. The Institute is constantly upgrading the teaching-learning process through several initiatives and best practices adopted worldwide.
