Two Researchers from Göttingen University Listed Among Most Frequently Cited Scholars

This year’s list of “Highly Cited Researchers” includes two scientists from the University of Göttingen: the agricultural scientist Professor Tobias Plieninger and the agroecologist Professor Teja Tscharntke are among the most frequently cited scientists in their fields worldwide.

The ranking by Clarivate Analytics identifies researchers who have demonstrated significant influence through publication of multiple highly cited papers during the last decade. This is an important indicator of the scientific influence of a paper. Highly cited papers in the sciences and social sciences journals indexed in the Web of Science Core Collection™ during the 11-year period 2012 to 2022 were surveyed. Highly cited papers are defined as those that rank in the top 1% by citations for field and publication year.
