The Ural Federal University, the National Research University of Electronic Technology (MIET), and the Tomsk State University have developed a series of educational programs on the initiative of the Agency for Technological Development. They are dedicated to the development of skills in reverse engineering of components and chemicals and are aimed at employees of industrial enterprises who have higher technical education and work as designers, technologists, and project team leaders.

On January 19, one of the programs was presented at the Agency with the participation of representatives of the Engineering Center of Digital Machine Building Technologies of the Ural Federal University. The audience learned about the areas and purposes of application of reverse engineering, stages of preparation of digital models and design documentation.

“The set of engineering technologies and processes, especially reverse engineering, is improving. The Agency became a pilot site where the Ural Federal University taught the basics of engineering project support and effective communication with developers and manufacturers in the “field”. I hope that this experience will contribute to even deeper immersion of the Agency in modern technological processes”, commented Vladimir Pastukhov, the Director General of the Agency.

On January 17, Mikhail Ponomarykov, the Minister of Digital Development and Communications of the Sverdlovsk Region, visited the UrFU Engineering Center of Digital Machine Building Technologies, where he met with the management and specialists of the Center. He saw examples of complex projects implemented by the Engineering Center of Digital Machine Building Technologies, in particular, reverse engineering. The participants agreed to coordinate the expert approach to import substitution (diversification) of engineering software and computer resources for the enterprises of the Sverdlovsk Region.
