Ural Federal University’s Open Archive Recognized Among the World’s Best Repositories

The Digital Scientific Archive of the Ural Federal University continues to occupy high positions in the prestigious world ranking of repositories. In 2024, according to Webometrics – Transparent Ranking of Repositories, UrFU Digital Scientific Archive retained first place among other Russian repositories.

In the ranking of institutional repositories, the University’s digital archive was ranked 23rd among other resources (4491 in total). In the global ranking, which includes 4646 repositories, the UrFU’s digital repository maintained its 33rd place.

“The UrFU Digital Scientific Archive is the first open institutional repository in Russia. It was created in 2002, and for the third year in a row, it was ranked among the top 25 institutional repositories in the world. In our opinion, this is a worthy indicator of the quality and demand for the scientific information resources of UrFU”, says Elena Okhezina, Head of the Department of Information and Analytical Support of UrFU.
