UTMN: UTMN among the best universities according to THE
Authoritative source Times Higher Education has published the results of its annual research, the rating of the best universities in the world in the field of Social Science. It highlights universities that are leading in sociology, archaeology, political science, linguistics, geography, anthropology and others.
“Any rating is an element of professional, expert evaluation of the university’s activities. At the same time, it is a sign of our opulence for our partners and applicants. The rating of THE is one of the most authoritative and our positioning in it suggests that the university’s ambition in the “Priority 2030″ for leadership in the social, creative, humanitarian development of the region is justified and supported by the research teams already formed at the university,” Ivan Romanchuk, the president of UTMN believes.
In total, 870 universities with 12 Russian ones among them were included in the rating.
The best universities in Russia in the field of Social Science:

3. Plekhanov Russian University of Economics
4. Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia
5. South Ural State University
6. Saint Petersburg University
7. National Research Tomsk State University
8. Kazan Federal University
9. Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration
10. Southern Federal University
11. Tyumen State University
12. Ural Federal University named after the First President of Russia B. N. Yeltsin
University of Oxford (UK), Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA), Stanford, Harvard and Princeton Universities (USA) are recognized as the best universities in the world.
Compiling the rating, experts evaluated universities according to 13 indicators grouped in five areas. They include teaching (learning environment); research (extent, income and reputation); citation (impact of research); international interaction (staff, students and research).
