Literary and cultural fest organised at S.S. Hall South

ALIGARH : Sir Syed Hall (South), Aligarh Muslim University organised its three-day annual literary and cultural fest, “Caravan 2.0”, which began with its inaugural programme at the historical Strachey Hall. The programme consists of a series of events including essay writing, calligraphy, Qirat, Naat, self-composed poetry, quiz and debate competitions.

Addressing the occasion, the chief guest, Prof. Afifullah Khan (OSD Development, AMU) said AMU is one of the unique institutions where you can learn the best of traits, from academic to literary, cultural and sports education. You can groom your personality with skills that make you learn the art of living.

Dr. Syed Tahseen Raza (Department of Strategic and Security Studies) urged the students to work hard and achieve excellence and success in life by adopting the three mantras of success – perseverance, dedication and commitment.

Mr. Parvez Alam (Department of Political Science) exhorted students to participate in competitive events with greater enthusiasm and never mind if they do not get a prize. In fact, such programmes help them hone and polish their hidden talents, which may reflect in the later phase of life.

Mr. Mohammad Allam (STS School) highlighted the salient features of the Aligarh Movement and emphasized its relevance and need for generations to come.

Earlier, Provost of the hall, Dr Farooq Ahmad Dar welcomed the guests and highlighted the key features of the event.

Dr. H Ansar and Jamil Hussain, a research scholar conducted the inaugural function, while Dr. Muzammilur Rahman extended a vote of thanks.
