Ural Federal University Students Enter As Finalists of the First Phase of the Scholarship Contest
75 Master’s degree students of the Ural Federal University became finalists of the first stage of the scholarship competition of the Vladimir Potanin Foundation. They will receive commemorative T-shirts and badges from the organizers.
The competition is held once a year in two stages. In the first, absentee stage, candidates send applications that include a description of their personal plans and life stance. Participants must also write an essay on the topic of their prospective Master’s thesis.
“In my application, I talked about how reluctant I was in school and how university changed me forever. I mentioned my project ideas that I would like to implement and how winning the competition will help me do that. There are a lot of plans, I will do as much as possible. My short-term plans are to graduate with honors,” said Olga Pavlova, a first-year Master’s student at the Ural Federal University and a finalist of the first stage.
The second stage of the competition includes business games, interviews, case studies, and other group or individual formats. The winners will receive a monthly scholarship of 25,000 rubles until they graduate from the Master’s program.
